Our special interest groups, workshops and concerts of local and international presenters offer great opportunities for personal growth.

Our programs are suitable for people of all ages, cultures and faith.  No prior knowledge or experience is required to join our sessions. Anyone with an open mind is welcome. Our programs are inspired and based on the meditation practice of Raja Yoga from the Brahma Kumaris. All events are offered free of charge with admission by donation.

Women's Empowerment Group


The Women's Empowerment Group is the initiative of a group of professional women from diverse creative backgrounds. As a committed group who meet regularly with invited speakers for public talks, our aim is to project the female image in a very positive light, to bring about a shift in the perception of women, and empower women to find their voice and take their place in the world with confidence, strength and pride. 

This dynamic group meets fortnightly, focusing on a particular topic, to explore practical spiritual strength in life. We invite outstanding women for a short talk on the topic which is followed by an interactive group discussion that explores the topic further. Our group is open to all, is non-denominational and welcomes those wishing to develop self-understanding in a friendly supportive environment; come and discover and nourish your authentic self. There will be meditation, talk, dialogue and networking opportunities.

Discovering & Recovering your CREATIVITY
How can you unleash the creative spirit within yourself?

Many of us wish we were more creative and sense we are more creative, but unable to effectively tap that creative force. We hunger for what might be called creative living! While there is no quick fix for instant, pain-free creativity, creative recovery is a teachable, trackable spiritual process. Each of us is highly complex and highly individual, yet there are common recognisable denominators to the creative recovery process



This is a course consisting of ongoing twelve sessions. Our aim is to find the trail, establish our footing and begin the climb. The creative surprises that open will quickly excite you. This course consists of information, reflections, exercises and a weekly check-in. Much of the exercises are really play and the course takes one and a half hour each session.

Discovering & Recovering your creativity | Sessions

Session # 1 | Recovering a Sense of Safety

This first session initiates your creative recovery. You may feel both giddy and defiant, hopeful and skeptical. The information, the tasks and exercises aim at allowing you to establish a sense of safety, which will enable you to explore your creativity with less fear.

Meet the two rivaling forces within yourself: Your Enemy within, resembled by your core negative beliefs and your Ally within, your affirmative tools.

Session # 2 | Recovering a Sense of Identity

The second session addresses self-definition as a major component of creative recovery. You may find yourself drawing new boundaries and staking out new territories as your personal needs, desires, and interests announce themselves. The information and tools are aimed at moving you into your personal identity, a self-defined you.

Learn to pay attention to the now and air your deeply held skepticism and doubts, otherwise they will sabotage us, by consciously exercising in open-mindedness.

Session # 3 | Recovering a Sense of Power

This third session may find you dealing with unaccustomed bursts of energy and sharp peaks of anger, joy and grief. You are coming into your power as the illusory hold of your previously accepted limits is shaken. You will be asked to consciously experiment with spiritual open-mindedness.

Dealing with shame and criticism when being creative means to examine it, learn your lesson, face it and commit to do something creative. Creativity is the only cure for criticism.

Session # 4 | Recovering a Sense of Integrity

This session may find you with grappling with changing self-definition. The information, task and exercises are designed to catapult you into productive introspection and integration of new self-awareness. This may be both very difficult and extremely exciting for you.

Honest changes wait for you by excavating your sub-conscious dreams. As blocked creatives, we can be very creative at wriggling out of things.

Session # 5 | Recovering a Sense of Possibility

In this session you are being asked to examine your payoffs in remaining stuck.. You will explore how you curtail your own possibilities by placing limits on the good you can receive. You will examine the cost of settling for appearing good instead of being authentic. You may find yourself thinking about radical changes, no longer ruling out your growth by making others the cause of your constriction.

Session # 6 | Recovering a Sense of Abundance

In this session you tackle a major creative block - money. You are asked to really look at your own ideas around the supreme Creator, money, and creative abundance. We will explore the ways in which your attitudes limit abundance in your current life. You will be introduced to counting, a block-busting tool for clarity and right use of funds. This session may feel volatile.

Session # 7 | Recovering a Sense of Connection

We turn this session to the practice of right attitudes for creativity. The emphasis is on your receptive as well as active skills. The information, exercises and tasks aim at excavating areas of genuine creative interest as you connect with your personal dreams.

Session # 8 | Recovering a Sense of Strength

This session tackles another major creative block: time. You will explore the ways in which you have used your perception of time to reclude taking creative risks. You will identify immediate and practical changes you can make in your current life. You will excavate the early conditioning that may have encouraged you to settle for far less than you desire creatively.

Session # 9 | Recovering a Sense of Compassion

This session finds us facing the internal blocks to creativity. It may be tempting to abondon ship at this point. Don’t! We will explore and acknowledge the emotional difficulties that beset us in the past as we made creative efforts. We will undertake healing the shame of past failures. We will gain in compassion as we reparent the frightened artist child who yearns for creative accomplishment. We will learn tools to dismantle emotional blocks and support renewed risk.

Session # 10 | Recovering a Sense of Self-Protection

This session we explore the perils that can ambush us on our creative path. Because creativity is a spiritual issue, many of the perils are spiritual perils. In the tasks and exercises of this session, we search out the toxic patterns we cling to that block our creative flow.

Session # 11 | Recovering a Sense of Autonomy

This session we focus on our artistic autonomy. We examine the ongoing ways in which we must nurture and accept ourselves as artists. We explore the behaviours that can strengthen our spiritual base and therefore, our creative power. We take a special look at the ways in which success must be handled in order that we not sabotage our freedom.

Session # 12 | Recovering a Sense of Faith

In this final session we acknowledge the inherently mysterious spiritual heart of creativity. We address the fact that creativity requires receptivity and profound trust-capacities we have developed through our work in this course. We set our creative aims and take a special look at last-minute sabotage. We renew our commitment to the use of the tools.

Synergies Dialogue Series & Symposium


From 2010 we organised a series of Inner Dialogues. The Inner Dialogues were conversations about the state of our inner world and its influence on our relationships, our work and quality of life. The sessions were informal and friendly and were punctuated with some quiet reflection and meditation.
