Dear Friends of the Women's Empowerment Group !  Gentle men welcome !

We are welcoming you to join us for our next Women's Empowerment Group Conversation and are welcoming a highly profound knowledgable and experienced person in Environmental Sustainability and Nature Conservation, Emma Wasson. Emma has an amazing background in this area and is highly passionate about collaboration and designing sustainability and social change programs that inspire, motivate and empower people.

Make Change Happen | Eco - Feminism !

Experience this highly inspiring woman who is herself inspired by any action that effectively reduces the human footprint on the planet and tilts the balance of power from large polluting industry, to support a healthy planet, people and connected communities.
She project managed environmental education projects and delivered waste and recycling presentations to primary school children aged between 4-12. She researched, wrote and designed educational content for communication products. Emma graduated from the Centre for Sustainable Leadership and during a fellowship she worked with a team to develop the project called 'Change Makers', a social learning/training program, where people can build their capacity to become more effective in creating positive change for social and environmental justice. Emma also project managed time and budgetary constraints at the Wollondilly Food Waste Challenge and the Hunter Valley Climate Challenge. She contributed to a geographically dispersed team in the planning and preparation of festival waste, recycling and the sustainability of management plans. Festivals include: Shine On Festival Victoria, Festival of the Sun Port Macquarie, the Rainbow Serpent Festival as well as the Eclipse Festival which attracted audiences between 5.000 to 15.000 people.

Guest speaker: Emma Wasson, Green Peace Australia Pacific, Green Chief Sustainability, Nature Conservation Council and Co-founder and Community Organiser of the Wilderness Society Australia, Make Change Happen; presently she is studying a Masters of Primary Education and teaches yoga in her spare time.
