Women Empowerment Group - Gentle Men welcome! - The Building Blocks to Relating Leonie Reisberg will be sharing her amazing journey as an artist, whose works are in the collection of the AGNSW and as a founder of KIDSLINK, helping children and teens since 30 years. Her parents were holocaust survivors with lots of secrets. These secrets would come in her dreams or were like whispers in the trees. The one that she heard most was “Save the children”. So when Leonie was 28 she decided it was time to start giving something back. She moved to New York and studied to become an art therapist. She created her own family which enriched her life and helped her understand what it meant to be a parent. 14 years ago she started KIDSLINK a social skills program for Aspergers + ADHD children and teens who struggle with anxiety.
Guest speaker: Leonie Reisberg, Artist + Art Therapists and Director of of the KIDSLINK program, which is a unique program that she created 14 years ago, that uses a variety of modalities to help children and teens shift social thinking and learn adaptive social skills. Leonie is also an accredited NSW Institute of Teachers Professional Development Provider.
